Wilton Baptist Church started in 1981, after refurbishment of what used to be Wilton Town Hall. The building was purchased by Rev Oliver Vellacott with a mission to serve the community in Wilton and the surrounding villages. Rev Vellacott remained as pastor of the Church for 12 years, leaving to move to Scotland in 1993. Rev Andrew Thomson joined the Church in October. He retired in April 2011 and our current minister, Rev Jonathan Greening, joined us one year later in April 2012

The Church exists to proclaim and serve Christ in our community and the wider world, showing the love of God and encouraging each other to follow Jesus.

From the group of 30 that started the Church, we now regularly have 60+ people of all ages worshipping on a Sunday morning. There are various activities at the church, details of which are on this website.

The Church has always had a strong musical tradition, and today boasts a worship group, which can include clarinet, flute, piano, guitars, mandolin, drums and the occasional clash of marching symbols!

To help raise the profile of the Church a new logo was commissioned in 2004.
